AnnalsSurgOncology my interpretation: both resection / ablation are salvageable w/ min diff in OS vs. primary liver tx upfront (not prospective, small sample size). You don't have to feel bad about not upfront transplant a pt w/3cm unifocal HCC. If recurs, go to transplant. ASTS
