Yesterday, our Young Voices Choir had their first performance in front of an audience and it would be an understatement to say that they came alive on stage! They sang “Get On Board” - a gospel melody mashup- with confidence and passion. #BlackHistoryMonth2023

Our Head Girl and Head Boy completed the first half term of the year with a trip to Matlock County Hall. They gathered with many Spencer Academies Trust Parliament representatives, met the Mayor of Derbyshire, spoke with some Councillors and participated in a Trust Debate #PupilParliament

Last week, Year Six filled the corridors with the delicious smell of their Syrian Salads. Lots of chopping, slicing, mixing and most importantly tasting 🤌🏽

We were lucky enough to have one of our incredibly talented Year 6 pupils play the piano at our Year 5/6 Christmas performance. He not only gave the audience goosebumps but had his whole class beaming with pride! #music

Our 2024 Young Voices did a lot to prepare for the BIG DAY! Multiple rehearsals, singing in assemblies and even creating a concert banner. It was a fun and creative afternoon, where the children decorated our banner as a team. Young Voices

Yesterday, Madeleine Lindley Ltd returned to Glenbrook Spencer with their incredible library of books for the second year. Many of our pupils remembered their visit from last year and couldn’t wait to choose another free #readingforpleasure book.

Today, Spencer Academies Trust took CPD to the next level with Key Note Speakers, a wide variety of in-house workshops and a farewell message very Angela Joanne. A big well done to our staff from Glenbrook, who not only attended some of those workshops but hosted some too!

This week, it has been our behaviour boot camp at Glenbrook and we have been focusing on perfecting our routines. These children from Year 1, Year 2 and Year 3 were the rulers of the routines,showing the gold standard in everything we learned this week. 🌟

It might only be week two of the academic year but that’s not going to stop TEAM GLENBROOK! Today, our playground was filled with colourful costumes and excited children. Happy #RoaldDahlDay 💛
