Varsity Boys Basketball @ Elgin Tourney: FINAL: GK 79, Elgin 42. GK had four players in double-figure scoring led by Jake Oates with 24 points. Alec Golembiewski had 16, Josh Oates had 15 and Josh Bunting added 10. GK will play in the 3rd place game at 5:30 on Saturday.

Varsity Boys Basketball @ GKHS: FINAL: GK 70, Pecatonica 62. Alec Golembiewski scored 27 points and knocked down five buckets from behind the arc. Jake Oates had 16, Eagan Reams put up 11 and Josh Bunting added 9. GK improves to 4-1.

SCHEDULE ADJUSTMENT! The Fresh-Soph Boys Basketball game scheduled to be played at North Boone tonight has been CANCELLED. The JV and Varsity games WILL STILL BE PLAYED as scheduled at 5:30 & 7:00 respectively. Bus departure time will remain at 4:15. F/S will NOT have practice.

Varsity Boys Basketball @ Marengo Tourney: FINAL: GK 54, Rockford Christian 51. GK erased a double digit deficit and advance to Thursday's Championship game. Alec Golembiewski & Jake Oates each had 14 points in a game that showcased 43 total fouls & 61 free throw attempts.

IHSA Class 2A Boys Basketball Regional pairings are now official. The Cogs received the #5 overall seed in the Marengo Sub-Sectional and will now host the quarterfinal game of the Aurora Christian Regional at GKHS on Saturday, February 19th vs Sandwich. Game time is still TBD.
