#JSVYear3 publishing leaflets in English. Creating top tips for the Year 2 children to help them prepare for Year 3. ✍️

Interesting. Have noticed, during a recent unit for Year 3, creating leaflets for Year 2 students, students revising writing when publishing. As they know the content so well AND they are going to share them with the students, revising is a natural process.

We struggled with this, too. Using the scaffold of Colourful Semantics helps with ideas and sentence structure leading to significant improvements in flow and stamina, together with enthusiasm and confidence. Particularly effective with EAL children in an international setting.

So important during a busy classroom day to set time aside to read aloud. Going to be my priority this coming year.
