Here's a thought - why is it that these barriers just get installed unannounced, but when speed bumps are proposed for a stretch of road it has to go out to consultation? Why aren't access restrictions for off-road active travel afforded the same consideration?

It's always weird how people want to give car drivers special dispensation, but you never hear about free public transport for voting.
