Frankenstein invents and centers the romance between the monster and Elizabeth that every teenage girl (including me and I suspect Mary Shelley herself) longed for and I’d just like to say thank you to Guillermo del Toro for bringing a 200 yr old ship into port at last.

One bit of movie ephemera I’d really enjoy would be a production breakdown of which scene were filmed where and when. Apparently all the boat scenes were filmed first, including the last scene of the movie. Claire’s and Elizabeth’s deaths must have filmed around the same time.
