This month, we celebrate Oklahoma’s Clara Luper! Luper staged a "sit-ins” in the early 1960s, helping to end segregation in public places. Maintaining her adherence to nonviolence, Luper participated in marches & demonstrations & was jailed in her Civil Rights struggle.
