Results are in! We had some smart freshman take the Greenhand Quiz last week to test their general FFA knowledge! Molly and Seth earned GOLD! Danica, Joselyn, Keegan, Kendra, Reid, and Tyler earned SILVER! Bode earned BRONZE! So proud of their hard work!

A busy day for West Sioux FFA! We took off for convention this morning, and stopped at the John Wayne Birthplace and Museum - very cool! We got all checked in and headed for dinner and celebrated Carter’s Birthday! Stay tuned for tomorrow!

We toured Stutsman Inc. which provides agricultural products and services to SE Iowa farmers! We got to see all the sides of the business from agronomy to fertilizer to feed! Thank you for having us today Stutsmans !!

Tuesday started off awesome! The kids were able to take on Des Moines to see a variety of things! Their awesome tour guide, Mr.Debrick . Check out the pics of everywhere they went!

FFA members Molly Hulshof and Reid Persinger spent Tuesday morning taking the State Greeenhand Quiz! Reid earned a Bronze rating, Molly earned a Gold rating, placing 10th out of more than 260 students! She earned a gold medal! Molly, we couldn’t be prouder of you:)

Tuesday West Sioux FFA members attending workshops about Iowa State, ATV Safety, and being their true selves! They gained some awesome leadership to bring back to our chapter!

Tuesday afternoon Kolton Eisma attended the Iowa Degree reception and was recognized on stage as a Star Finalist in Ag Placement! Kolton’s hard work and dedication paid off and we could be prouder!

FFA banquet is tonight! See all our members and guests there by 4:45! We can’t wait to show you the awesome auction items, have a delicious dinner, and present awards and recognitions to our outstanding members!

A local business is looking for a helping hand from us tomorrow! The Hospital Auxiliary (aka the local thrift shop) in Hawarden needs some extra hands to load a truck with leftover thrift items tomorrow at 9:30am. If you are available please let Miss Carlson know by 9pm tonight!

National FFA Convention was last week! This week we are going to take a look back at all our adventures! Here is Tuesday, October 26th! We travelled to Indy - stopping at Quincy Farm Products for a tour.

Flashback to last Wednesday! We went to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and NCAA Hall of Champions! Off to convention after that to explore the expo of colleges and businesses! Lots of fun activities and people to meet! We ended with a concert - Alex Miller and Brett Young!
