Last winter we trialed 6 cover crops to see which was the best suited for use on bare land, the winner was a 95% oil radish mix. The cover crop helps to preserve soil structure & nutrients which in turn reduces the risk of run off & eutrophication #SoilProtection #RadishNotRunOff

Today we collected our pack of 10 native lowland trees to help with the Big Farm Tree Planting campaign, courtesy of NFU North West @WoodlandTrust Lloyds Business These trees will be planted across our farm to help with reducing our carbon footprint as well as enhancing habitats 🌳

This week we have been planting our free trees from the NFU North West, Lloyds Business & @WoodlandTrust! The trees have been placed across the farm in both old and new hedgerows as well as within areas of open woodland where some of the older trees have died back 🌳 #PlantATree
