Don’t forget to change the batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. If your smoke detector is more than 10 years old, replace it with a 10 year sealed battery, you won’t need to replace the battery for the useful life of the detector.

A recent fire on an outdoor deck displaced every resident of the apartment building. It was caused by improper disposal of smoking materials. For your safety and that of your family and neighbors, use a heavy ashtray with water or sand and #PutItOut, #AllTheWay, #EveryTime.
