Rather than building up oil reserves & being dependent on other countries for energy, why don't we plunge head-first into alternative energy. We'd do our economies a great good (sorry Alberta, time to learn a new trick) & our planet will thank us.

So...Ontario underspent by $5.5 billion this year: On health care by $1.3 billion. On social supports (e.g. ODSP) by $1.1 billion. On education by $212 million. But...they're planning to spend $6 billion to build a new highway? It’s a question of priorities.
