Many people in our community are going to be greatly inconvenienced and in need of help as the #CoronavirusOutbreak continues. Local MP Simon Jupp is compiling a list of people who can help those in need at this time.

Today we remember this country’s triumph in the face of adversity as we face a period of similar strife. We hope that you are all staying safe and well. This #VEDay we can’t celebrate in the way that we would like but in the words of the famous wartime tune, we’ll meet again.

In these uncertain times there has been much for our committee to keep on top of and we have met twice via video call in recent weeks to make sure that we can continue to make decisions in the best interests of the band. Visit our website for an update. exmouthtownconcertband.org.uk/news

We can’t celebrate #ArmedForcesDay as we would like to but our appreciation for the work of all our armed forces hasn’t changed. Our own alignment and involvement with the armed forces is long-standing & unwavering & we hope to be able to publicly demonstrate this again soon.

Over 20 of our members gathered for a zoom meeting this evening on what would have been the first of our summer performances. It’s not possible for us to get together right now but it was great to see so many friendly faces as we begin to look at what the future holds.

We're not able to gather for Remembrance Sunday this year so instead 26 of our members have recorded this tribute to all those who have given their lives for this country. Featuring soloist Ian Moore for Last Post. youtu.be/jHb8-obyIns

This morning trumpeter Ian Moore performed the Last Post as part of a scaled-down & socially distanced service to commemorate 100 years of Royal British Legion. The band's history with the organisation's Exmouth branch goes back many years & it always an honour to be part of their work.
