It costs taxpayers $89,425 to incarcerate one person at Trump’s “Alligator Alcatraz” per year. That’s more than what 95% of Americans spend on housing and food. Republican priorities: Waste tax dollars torturing immigrants, while cutting support for working class families.
The fact that all these Republican lawmakers are running around trying (& often, failing) to get specific carve outs in their own bill so THEIR community isn’t subject should tell you all you need to know. If they think it’s so great, why don’t they want it as-is for themselves?

Aaron Rupar Physician here. ER wait times are a systemic issue that has NOTHING to do with illegal aliens. Illness complexity is up, preventative care is down (eg vaccinations, etc), and you just passed a bill guaranteeing smaller rural hospitals close which will increase all of that.
So we have $40 billion dollars for Universal Healthcare in Argentina but $0 dollars for healthcare here in the USA? We have $174 billion dollars for Universal Healthcare in Israel - but $0 dollars for healthcare here in the USA? I was told 'America First' but I'm not seeing it.
