Via Quartz: TikTok's Chinese owner ByteDance is "scraping" the web 25 times faster than OpenAI. Like OpenAI’s and Anthropic’s bots, Bytespider ignores instructions from robots.txt, a non-legally binding line of code that tells web scrapers which data they can and cannot access.
