A public pressure campaign to wear masks in Utah won't work. The people who need to be convinced to wear masks are the people who have already been won over by a public pressure campaign that told them that masks don't work. There's no putting that genie back in the bottle.

After waiting two months I finally received the masks promised by the Governor's Office. So... Utah taxpayers are paying for politically charged militia masks to be sent to residents? Not appropriate! #utpol

So let me see if I've got this right. Two of Utah's highly competent female office holders - Mayor Erin Mendenhall & Jenny Wilson - can't require masks in public because the male dominated state legislature, in its infinite wisdom, passed a new law saying they can't #pandemicbeforepolitics

In Utah, our system ensures every properly cast vote is counted and accurately reflected in totals. We trust that is the case in other states. We should ensure every eligible person has the opportunity to vote — and that their vote, if properly cast, is counted.

I didn’t see the President’s press conference. However, elections are the foundation of our country. Please don’t believe unfounded allegations that destroy trust in the process. We must be patient while every legal vote is counted, accept the results and move forward together.

This election is about so much more than Joe Biden or me. It’s about the soul of America and our willingness to fight for it. We have a lot of work ahead of us. Let’s get started.
