I don't place any hopes in electoral politics. No matter what happens, we need to be organizing our neighborhoods, communities, and workplaces. If there's a way out of this mess, it's through organization and struggle.

UN Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese: “How can you teach about human rights in classrooms, and then don’t support or even reprimand the students for taking a stand in defense of human rights or the people who have been oppressed for decades and now they are being genocided?”

When Brazil's MST started an adult literacy program in its agrarian reform settlements - home to 1.5 million people - it turned to Cuba for help. Later, the MST provided technical support for adult literacy to the Hugo Chavez administration. My latest for TeleSur English.

Just joined REDnote, and I gotta say, seeing Chinese netizens welcome the TikTok refugees is heartwarming. Also TikTok users switching to an app that's actually Chinese out of spite and pettiness is amazing.

Sitting here watching the live streams from the flotilla go offline one-by-one, and I'm supposed to be reading and working on my thesis. All this study feels so pointless. Reality is maddening.

Why do I have to get sick the month I'm supposed to be working on my thesis proposal. It couldn't wait until November? Damn.

US starting off the year by kidnapping the democratically elected president of another country. Wish I could say I didn't see this coming. Just glad it wasn't a decapitation strike. Don't think this is gonna pan out in their favor.
