"Simply put, the humanities are our creation stories," NEH Chair at today's Economic Club of Indiana lunch. Pictured here with some of my wonderful Indiana Humanities board members. We help folks figure the "why," and the "how." Can't wait for a fantastic national conference, Visit Indy.

Did you know that Indiana Pacers owner Herb Simon could make it rain? TBT to 1984; he joined Mayor Hudnut, Clark Kellogg, & Jerry Sichting at Firehouse #5 in Indy. Mr. Simon is currently the longest current serving owner in the NBA. Original @ bit.ly/4bEeQoZ

This David Aldridge is getting just praise for helping to retell a story that far too many have ignored. One of the through lines of the story is the Crowe family, Ray and George, both of whom attended Indiana Central (now University of Indianapolis), as did Mr. Robertson's brother, Bailey.

Love that this was posted! Mr. DeJernett is a large reason the legendary Ray Crowe decided to matriculate University of Indianapolis. This legacy of pioneering University of Indianapolis sports in the 1930s is understudied, despite the efforts of colleagues such as Lawrence Sondhaus and students such as Liz.
