What happens to #natgas transit via #Ukraine once #NS2 starts vs 2025-onward continually gets conflated, I feel often on purpose. #Gazprom is rational. It will use its ship-or-pay ~110mcm/d via Ukraine until Dec-24. There is no mid/long term bookings on Yamal. #ONGT 1/2

I see #Gazprom have booked 17.45mcm/day on the Ukraine->Slovakia route for December at monthly capacity auctions today, up from just 0.25mcm/day booked in monthly auctions for November. Wonder what this will mean for daily capacity bookings in Dec? #naturalgas

Russian #natgas flows to Europe via Ukraine could be 42mcm/day today, up significantly on the 27mcm/day level they've been at through most of January, if these within-day nominations published by Slovak grid operator eustream, a.s. are fulfilled. #naturalgas #gazprom

Interesting to see British dockers refusing to unload Russia-linked LNG cargoes at Grain LNG terminal - wonder if this could spread to other European terminals receiving Russian cargoes?

How is Russia's invasion of Ukraine and associated fallout such as sanctions and European energy supply concerns affecting global LNG? A free Q&A from ICIS analysts

Russian gas supplies to Europe have actually *increased* over the first three months of 2022, making up 23% of supply in March (level pegging with Norway and behind LNG, though obviously this breakdown will vary depending on country - CEE likely to be a much higher proportion!)

A quick update on supply routes for Russian gas. Ukraine’s Gas TSO of Ukraine 🇺🇦 forced to declare force majeure at Sokhranivka border point on 10 May after noticing Russia/Russia-affiliated occupants stealing transit gas on 9 May. Transit reduced heavily after fm. /1

The Austrian government has earmarked a total €6.6Bn towards establishing a strategic #naturalgas reserve and ensuring storage is 80% full by the start of winter - wonder what this could mean for liquidity on the country's #gas markets over summer? icis.com/explore/resour…

Meanwhile pipeline #naturalgas flows from Russia to Slovakia (and from there to the rest of Europe) via Ukraine should be about 55mcm today based on eustream, a.s. data, down 12mcm on Wednesday. Day-ahead nominations are 94mcm/day, wonder if that will change by tomorrow?

A first insight as to whether #natgas will be flowing along NordStream1 on the morning of 21-July could come on 20 July, when day-ahead nominations begin to be published. It’s not always accurate, but it will nevertheless be worth watching! #Gazprom #TTF

Russia now supplying Hungary with an extra 2.6mcm/d via TurkStream. But this is not net extra #natgas to Europe as TK->BG flows are unchanged. Rather I’d say Serbia has filled storage so #Gazprom now able to deliver similar spare volume to another customer.

#Ukrainian gas trader #ERU and MD gas TSO, #Moldovatransgaz confirm backhaul transit along the #TransBalkan pipeline after regulations on virtual reverse gas flows come in force in MD. A small transit volume for the company, one giant leap for the region 🙂
