SPPS recently celebrated the completion of two Karen language course proposals. Staff members worked together to propose a Karen Level 1 course and a Karen for Karen Speakers course. The courses will be offered in 2023 at select high schools and available online districtwide.

Governor Tim Walz and Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan today announced a series of proposals to make Minnesota the best state in the country for kids. SPPS was proud to be the host of this announcement at Adams Spanish Immersion Elementary School.

Under our child care plan, families making under $200k a year with one child could receive $4,000 a year for child care. Families with two children could receive $8,000 a year, and families with three children could receive up to $10,500 a year. Let’s pass this into law.
