This week the lab has started with a trip to the Windara #shellfish reef to collect water and oyster samples 🦪 Windara was built in 2018 and is the first and largest shellfish reef in Australia. Research by Bec Sutton-Smith will assist in understanding #restoration outcomes

Back from a recent trip from Kangaroo Island Lucinda Hatswell has been collecting water samples from across the island. The water samples will be assessed for #platypus eDNA to assist in detecting remnant platypus populations. 🧬

At the start of the month I finished processing all my samples collecting sediment, macroinvertebrate, nekton and epiphyte data for my Honours! 🦐🦀🔬🪱

Yesterday I presented my honours research looking at the habitat facilitation of #pinnabicolor - now just the thesis to go! 👏🏼
