Finishing a phase one survey for a site over 100ha in size. 3 main badger setts. 17,000 steps in muddy fields. Safe to say my legs have had it 😭

Is it hilarious or bone-deep agonising that Defra has used a picture of a non-native species mixed with arable species when talking about grasslands? It's almost as if they have literally no idea what they are talking about.

First and worst bat survey of the season done ✅ Freezing cold, no bats, had to arrive an hour early to be inducted and had so many motorway diversions on the way home. 8+ hour round trip for nothing interesting 😭
