I'm not mincing my words anymore. The legislative assault on transgender people is a genocide against us. It seeks to remove us from public life, remove all legal protections, remove our trans children from parents, remove their medically necessary care. It will kill people.

A year ago I announced on #TransDayOfVisibility that I'm trans nonbinary. I've since lost colleagues, friends, and family amid this vicious legislative attack on our community—and I've never been so grateful to be among such brave and beautiful people. I see us. I love us.
