LIV players returning money—specifically Rahm—is not what's holding up a potential PGA Tour-PIF deal, sources tell me. It's how to integrate LIV players back, and what LIV's future looks like in a unified game (current LIV iteration likely done, but will be around in some form)

Also LIV $$$ is not the aversion to a reconciliation for tour players. It's assimilating defectors who sued the PGA Tour, a lawsuit which (according to leadership) put the tour in a vulnerable financial position. Players understandably want consequences for this group

According to #RoryMcIlroy it’s the DOJ and the differing opinion of some players (with business decisions to make) that is slowing the @PGATour and #PIF deal. The Tours want it, the investors want it but maybe only half of the players on the PGAT and #LIVGolf want it to happen.

The BMW PGA Championship is in the top stratosphere of events I enjoy watching every year. The sponsor may have changed, that time of year may have changed but the constant in my 35+ years watching has been Wentworth as host venue. One of the highlights of the golfing calendar.
