The LID Specialist Team have been inviting other district professionals to our PLCs to share information on topics to "sharpen our own saws". Thanks to Darolyn Gonzales, SLP for sharing your knowledge about dysphasia. We learned about warning signs to watch while feeding. #1LISD

Thanks also to our LISD VI Team for sharing their knowledge on the techniques of Active Learning with the LID Specialists! We have such a well informed pool of professionals with in our own district and our collaboration is so appreciated! We are better together! #1LISD

Monday's LID GPS sessions were a valuable time to share ideas around PLC and student ownership of learning. We appreciated IA's voices in our groups and the feeder-pattern grouping led to common topics for problem solving. Thanks to our IPL Dept. for the structure! #1LISD

This month our team surprised 5 ICAP/SLE Teachers with some new math tools! Jacky Cruz at DMS, Cassie Dixon at Reagan, Isabel Ruiz at Plain, and Sharlane Baezrosario's class at Reed were all excited to dig in!!! Can't wait to hear what students think & see them soar! #1LISD

The VI Team hosted a heartfelt Friendsgiving for students from across the district. It was a big hit!! Students helped prepare the meal and were so proud! Thanks to Leander MS for letting us use your staff kitchen and cafeteria for the event!

Work in progress! LID Specialists & I have been assembling Science kits to accompany the amazing ULS aligned kits our Science Curriculum Team have been creating 4 all our ICAP & SLE Teachers. This is a bigger project than we imagined, but know our students will love it & benefit
