OMG, such good news! For years we allowed city centre premises use plastic bags, even for food. As if the smallest particle of food was not a magnet for foxes and seagulls to rip open the bags and strew dirty rubbish everywhere. At last, the nonsense is over.

And Just Like That… the doors have closed on the National Museum of Ireland - Natural History for several years of restoration works. 20 years ago to the month I submitted a report on the problems with the building. They are all on the list now and being addressed

We’ll miss it. Cannot wait to bring my son & daughter here when it reopens. (don’t know what the timeline is, but these projects often run over anyhow) Fingers crossed it reopens in the foreseeable future, better & stronger than ever. This place means a lot to Dubliners.
