Today both Drupal Media media library and field widget got backported to Drupal 8.6.0-dev and Drupal Deploy workspaces module. Both are experimental modules. Woot! Both are planned to be part of the next tagged Drupal 8.6 pre-release for testing. Congrats to both teams!
