OTD in 1967, Dr. King spoke about "The Crisis in America's Cities," a crisis fueled by backlash to progress, racism, unemployment, war, and discrimination.

OTD in 1967, Dr. King asked where do we go from here? At the SCLC Conference, he spoke about the efforts of marches from Chicago to Cleveland. He spoke about standing together against hate. And he spoke of the work still to do.

It was an honor to join the National Drum Major Institute and Mi Familia Vota this morning as they announced a historic new partnership that will amplify the voices and the priorities of Black and Brown communities across this nation.

It's Women's Equality Day! We are fighting for a world of peace, justice, and equity. That starts with ensuring equal rights and equal pay.

Tomorrow marks the 61st anniversary of the March on Washington. 61 years since Dr. King shared his dream -- one we have not yet realized.

OTD in 1963, Dr. King marched for jobs and freedom. He was joined by 250,000. Today, we are still marching to realize his dream. We are still marching for peace, justice, and equity.

Today, we remember the Little Rock Nine for their bravery in the face of bigotry. It is a reminder of the recency of segregation; the photos may be black and white, but it was only 67 years ago.
