Notes on the "freshman 15": -Fear mongering about weight gain is explicitly fat phobic. -On average, students gain only 2-5 pounds during their first year. -The transition to college is a high-risk time for eating disorder development. Encourage nutrition rather than restriction.

BRENDMOEN: St. Paul got rid of youth basketball fees. They now have 1,237 youth signed up, a 35% increase in registrations. McDonough Rec Center, which hasn't had a basketball team since 2017, now has multiple. Battle Creek has 11 teams.

This is incredible from the City of Saint Paul. Making sports accessible for all is a model that should be adopted by more cities and for more sports! #SportsForAll
