As a Sixers fan in the early 80s, my answer will always be Andrew Toney. Strangler was a beast. An absolute pleasure to watch him play.

Doc stole the ball on defensive side of the court. Needed only 2 dribbles back when traveling was a thing. And cuff dunked on elite defender. Oh yeah, left hand never touched the ball. Ran back down to defensive end like he’d done it many times before. Because he had.

June 6, 1982: Philadelphia's Julius Erving goes baseline for a slam during the 76ers' 135-102 win over the Lakers in Game 5 of the NBA Finals. Dr. J had 23 PTS/12 REB and Andrew Toney had 31 PTS/8 AST as the 76ers avoided elimination. Bob McAdoo had 23 PTS/5 BLK for Los Angeles.

The player that wore 22 before AT, was Eric Money. Sixers could have recycled those old jerseys. Because Andrew Toney WAS money.
