I wonder how many buttons were lost from military uniforms across the vast #MornHillCamp landscape during #WW1? What would the original owner of this button have made of it being found by an archaeology student more than 100 years later, put in a bag & it's location 3d recorded?

Just a heads up that my esteemed colleague and pal, Tony Pollard, has published a great paper on the aftermath of the Battle of Waterloo in the Journal of Conflict Archaeology. Brilliant paper, well worth reading, and open access too! tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.10…

Can anyone explain to me why my Twitter feed is full of monsters like Penny Mordaunt, James Cleverly, and Lee Anderson? Before #Musk bought Twitter, I never saw these people. Now I can't get away from them

A wooden shelter was also uncovered 🌟DigHill80.com, and it might be one of the best-preserved shelters ever encountered. The preservation of the wood and sandbags was incredible. It was located at Sachsen Graben and could be accessed via a stair #FWW #Archaeology
