The 2025 ASCA Conference in California was an incredible experience! I was honored to participate in the Leadership Development Institute—now known as Elevate—prior to the start of the main conference. I left feeling recharged w/ innovative ideas to begin the school year

I had the privilege of presenting alongside 3 different sessions w/ Jasmine Drinkard, Nicole Cox, Nina Reid, Tiffany Stoner & Grace M. James Academy of Excellence Counselors. A powerful day of connection, reflection, and advocacy!

I thoroughly enjoyed attending our JCPSKY Counselors' Summer Conference, "Rooted in Resilience: Grounded in Purpose – Supporting Every Student." I enjoyed co-presenting w/ Kevin Garner Simmons College of Kentucky. I appreciate the opportunity to connect w/ so many counselors—always a joy!

Thrilled to share my 1st publication w/Dr. Detra Johnson titled "Building Relationships With Three Cs: Caring, Connections, and Cultivating Between Schools and Communities" with the Journal of Minority Achievement, Creativity & Leadership (Volume 3, Issue 1–2). So excited!

I’m grateful for the opportunity to present at the KSCA School Lights, Camera, Advocacy Pre-Conference. My first 3-hour pre-conference, "Engaging All Stakeholders to Build Student Success,” and it was an honor to share strategies & collaborate alongside KY counselors.

Big day for our Grace M. James Academy of Excellence Junior Biomedical students! They kicked off a new partnership with ElderServe Inc, an organization enriching the lives of older adults in Louisville’s West End. Students will assist with activities & encourage social engagement and community bonding.

Stress balls give students a quiet way to release energy so they can stay focused. They’re great for easing anxiety, reducing fidgeting, and even improving hand strength. School Counselors help students cope with stress and anxiety. KSCA
