In German-occupied Belgium, Frida Adler worked as a maid using a false Catholic identity. She often visited her family who was hiding under false identities in a nearby village. In 1944, her family was arrested and deported to the Auschwitz-Birkenau killing center.

7 November 1937 | A Dutch Jewish girl, Bertha Leser, was born in Amsterdam.

She was deported to #Auschwitz from #Theresienstadt ghetto on 28 October 1944. She was murdered in a gas chamber after the selection.

29 October 1888 | A Polish woman, Zofia Burzyńska, was born in Wola Filipowska.
