🚨The UCF CNS Lab is now recruiting older adults in Orlando for a 6 week training study. This is a great opportunity to get high-quality, supervised training in our lab. Please spread the word!

Excited to join the Neural Health Research Laboratory at Syracuse University as a postdoc research associate!! Let's get to work!🍊🧠💪 Jason DeFreitas

.OSU Cowboy Football head coach Mike Gundy is known for being one of the best characters in college football. Gundy takes his weekly radio show to the Legacy Village of Stillwater retirement community to bring some of his special charm and joy to its residents.

🚨Retweets appreciated!🚨 I’m searching for my next rockstar PhD student UCF Kinesiology! Join UCF CNS Lab in sunny Orlando ☀️ where we work hard but laugh at our failures along the way. Future work will primarily focus on neuromuscular aging and disuse.

I'm so happy to see this in print. We show that we can induce iMEPs robustly during bilateral preacher curl exercise! onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/ej… Now on to some training studies.....😃 Biology of Physical Activity JYU Faculty of Sport and Health Sciences

Our preprint is out. We found that 4 weeks of strength training in older adults increased their peripheral nerve speed (conduction velocity of the median nerve). Great work by our research team and guidance by Jason DeFreitas. medrxiv.org/content/10.110…

After ~2 yrs of work, the longest and most comprehensive manuscript I have ever been a part of is now available as a Pre-Print medrxiv.org/content/10.110… Great work from Dr André Nelson Danny Lum, PhD, CSCS, ASCA L2 Alex Natera, PhD, Frank Bittmann, and Laura Schaefer Hopefully smooth peer-review ahead!

Big congrats to Emily Parsowith B.S., CSCS on the acceptance of her thesis manuscript in Experimental Gerontology! Exciting work on aging and chronic knee pain.
