I began the year counting months before I retire, then weeks &now it’s days. I’m going to say farewell to Twitter too 2many reasons 🙄but I have enjoyed the news debates &groups that formed over last 10years. I’ll have phd students for a while so still working but much less 🙏♥️

‘Hamba Kakuhle’ farewell &thank you to staff &students for time well spent. Leaving I have discovered it is not what you have done but what you never got to do that troubles. I call retirement ‘falling into time’ - I think it is like falling in love, wonderful and terrifying.

Healthcare workers/ nurses did not run out of goodwill. It is a case of them needing it for themselves in order to survive. Period.
