A1-A simple strategy that has supported students has been providing time for discussion in small groups. It is comforting to them know that other students may have the same frustration or sadness that they are experiencing. Simple, but effective strategy. #NHCSChat

A2- For students who need advanced opportunities DPI and Duke collaborated to create the Learning Labs for gr K-12. They also collaborated with NCAGT to create Virtual Enrichment & Extension resources for Students. These can be found at dpi.nc.gov/students-famil… #NHCSChat

A3- The lack of interaction with my colleagues. I have tried to be better at communicating in other ways than the traditional F2F. I schedule Zoom meetings for individual, small group, and large meetings. I also have increased emails and texting to stay in touch #NHCSChat

A4- To keep a pulse on employee self-care the gifted specialists were meeting weekly just for a check-in. I think we all felt lost and needed the reassurance from each other. We continue to meet monthly and self care is always included as a topic #NHCSChat

A5- It may sound too simple, but truly listening and caring about teachers' feelings is so important. Most people are stressed so when we feel like someone cares and is listening that is powerful #NHCSChat
