Another wise comment from Ross McKenzie ... this issue of soil acidification applies across the Canadian Prairies and North America's Great Plains ... "careful monitoring" is important ... another reason for regular soil testing and tracking soil quality.

Good post, Bruce ... great information in that Westco booklet on P placement, as well as the booklets on deep banding and crop rooting patterns. This excellent research laid the foundation for many of today's one-pass, zero-till seeding systems in the Prairies.
