A Magic player would look you dead in the eyes and say chess has no resources because you don't have to turn something sideways to move your piece

so i know yugioh and elestrals have it where wind based cards thematically get rid of backrow, but do other card games do it too? and if they do is there like a reason Why? like why did everyone decide that wind = getting rid of backrow?

got bored in the main event at 5-1 (had a round 1 loss die to late entry LOL) and dropped to play Genesys in the last pod of the day and won! Onomat Rhongo reigns supreme 🫡

So many willfully missing the point. These animators are being worked to the bone, forced to put out half-finished art they themselves are not happy with on a brutally unfair production schedule. Personally attacking the staff is pointless. The production committee is at fault.

The GX Duel Memorial interviews are such a treat cause we usually don't get much production info so having Hikokubo talk about duel scripting is really fun and interesting. Also feeling vindicated by this statement because writing duels with preexisting cards is a pain in the ass

you have 3 watermarks on this, i PROMISE you no one is going to steal the artwork, in fact high quality non watermarked art would be great to have and other card games do it, i understand needing the bottom one for legal reasons but why do we need sample and now the yugioh logo?

dire.bsky.social (@direygo) 's Twitter Profile Photo

im actually so mad about the sample thing like, these are the highest quality images we have of card art, would be amazing to use for thumbnails or any project, but i cant use it because of SAMPLE like fuck man

these interviews are honestly the coolest thing that's been done with yugioh in a while, i love seeing behind the scenes for shows and stuff, especially with such a "toyetic" series like yugioh where they have to balance the commercial aspect of selling cards with making a story

wait it's REALLY funny that cydra's power creep wasnt from a konami card designer but from the gx duel writer wanting to make level 5 monsters more useful and have narrative themes in comparison to jaden's level 4 heroes
