25/5 A big thank you to our digger driver Duncan Tomlinson for coming out at 5am this morning to help us find the mains water leak on the track and advice on how to repair. Also a big thank to one of our members Ste Alker who got us a tool, pipe section and advice to repair.

6/11 The rain is just relentless. The course is saturated. On top of the 27mm in the jar this morning, had a further 21mm to 2.30pm. Planned work on 4th fairway postponed. Just too wet to commit to the job so started on wet area left of 13th green. Thatchy/boggy turf scraped off.

7/11 Duncan Tomlinson back in today down at the 13th. Turned into a big job on the main drain running along the fence line as this is where we're running the drain from the left of the green. Blocked by tree roots so needed to sort this and drain the greenside bunker on the right.

8/11 Thankfully, we have been able to continue the works left of 13th green as we can access the site via the lane to the clubhouse. Today, drains added into the area. Coming across a stone culvert along the way. This is now running where it wasn't before.

9/11 Quite a nice day for a change until the showers arrived this afternoon. But the decent dry morning meant we got the drains stoned up and 15 tonnes of sand spread over the site, ready to be rotovated in tomorrow. Duncan Tomlinson scraping the wet spoil away, spreading the sand.

6/12 Duncan Tomlinson draining the left greenside bunker and left fairway bunkers, all on 15th. Whilst that way, make a start on clearing ditches, starting with left of 11th

8/12 Duncan Tomlinson busy again last couple days Ditches cleared 11th, left 4th & 14th Most stumps dug out at 7th tee. 14th greenside bunker reshaped, losing back third so manhole is no longer in the bunker, but extending forwards to wrap around front of green 7th tee rotovated

11/12 Weather today not the forecast I saw. Drizzle all day giving another 4mm. It has to stop raining at some point doesn't it?? Holes changed and debris blown clear prior to granular feed application. Duncan Tomlinson with big digger clearing some ditches. Drains rodding too.

Duncan Tomlinson in the next couple of days managed to clear out ditch on 6th and new drain on 6th.

Second day with Duncan Tomlinson cleared ditch on 8th, back of the 17th managed to sort 3 large trenches ready for pipe and stone got all 3 culverts running. Then in front of the 18th green done a larger trench for bigger pipe to go in and found old clay pipe to join up.

14/5 Busy day on the course, utilising the scheduled maintainance days. 3 outside contractors in today. Big thank you to DANVIC verti-draining fairways. Bancroft Amenities Deep scarifying greens Duncan Tomlinson doing some digger work for us.

14/5 Duncan Tomlinson on the front 9 whilst they were closed to be verti-drained. Sorted a drain left of 4th fairway. Leveled the section where the 5th fairway meets the track so trolleys and buggies can safely use Level spoil from 5th to back of 7th tee Clean 1st ditch on right

19/12 Finish replacing the drain on the right as you go down lane. Issue was the existing tile drain ran under the kerb which kept getting crushed by vehicles mounting the kerb and tree roots. Now a solid pipe further out. Duncan Tomlinson also in to rotovate 3rd tee for levelling.

23/12 Last few days Duncan Tomlinson been in and finished today. Finding new drains on 8th, which are now running and making a start on clearing the scrub front right of the 11th white tee. We also prepped the 3rd tee which had previously been rotovated for turfing in the new year.
