Think of all the ways Israel is trying to silence the whole world from talking about its grotesque crimes. Barring media from Gaza. Barring media from West Bank. Censoring media in Israel. Silencing Western campus activism. Eliminating members of Congress who criticize Israel.

This is an urgent and important intervention by my fellow bishops and I support them in it. The oppression, violence and discrimination against Palestinians in the West Bank, including Christians, must cease. The Israeli government is not above the law and must stop acting

One more outrage in the series of outrageous attacks on journalists and media outlets. We need more global pressure to end Israel's impunity on these attacks, alongside the massacres in Gaza and more. Solidarity with the AJ team in Ramallah.

Writers, please turn down participating in literary events at universities that have brutally cracked down on pro-Palestinian students' & professors' first amendment rights, disciplined them, & sent in police to terrorize, beat, & tase them. And yes, I have done this myself.

Goodness. The student leaders across the country are grounded in history. Encampments held teach ins and started libraries so that interested students could learn about the Nakba, 1967 occupation, Oslo's failures, etc. I'd personally love to wipe the floor w/ her in a debate.

I don't think most Americans know how much hatred towards America Biden has generated throughout the Middle East - and beyond - by enabling Israel's genocide in Gaza.

It’s funny that a ‘pet’ originally meant an indulged child. If we’d never decided to call pets this, we might say ‘house deer’ or ‘house animal’ like the Germans.

Says Khan: “[W]e also should worry about the destabilizing effect that can arise from companies believing that … they can be reckless, take massive risks in a way that can crash the economy and then they can get away with just a slap on the wrist.”

The last year has been so insane that its startling to have basic sanity expressed by a prominent member of the security establishment.
