I walked my reptile survey today. Sometimes it took me a moment or two to work out how many Slow Worms were cosily under one mat!🐍💚

Alerted by agitated alarm calls, I looked up to see a bird of prey being mobbed by Swallows. Rubbish photos, but can anyone tell me what the bird of prey is? RSPB

I enjoyed watching this gorgeous Jersey Tiger moth feeding on the Hemp Agrimony yesterday - my first sighting of the year.

Went out at midnight to look for shooting stars and glimpsed the Aurora borealis -a rare treat for south Wiltshire! Saw four spectacular meteors streaming across the sky as well!🌠

I just loved seeing this yellow Brimstone butterfly feeding on a yellow Fleabane flower in the sunshine, this afternoon! 💛💛💛

This dusky-coloured Broad-leaved Helleborine was almost hidden from sight, growing under an umbrella of Bracken fronds in my local wood.

This beautiful Common Blue Damselfly was catching the last rays of the evening sun. 💙💙💙

She may be a bit ragged and torn, but it was lovely to see this female Silver-washed Fritillary butterfly still enjoying life in the sunshine this week. Butterfly Conservation 🦋
