This February is Ovarian Cancer Awareness month, and we want to spread the word about this silent but deadly disease. Each year, over 1700 Australians are expected to be diagnosed and only 50% of patients will live beyond five years of their diagnosis*. (1/4) Device Robotics

Often misdiagnosed, common symptoms include vague abdominal pain and swelling, persistent lower back ache, abnormal vaginal bleeding, persistent changes in bowel or bladder patterns, and unexplained weight loss**. (2/4)

We spoke to Gynaecological Oncologist and renowned Robotic Surgeon, Dr Felix Chan about his knowledge of ovarian cancer, and what changes need to happen in the field to see a decrease in cases. (3/4)
