This quarter our sixth grade students learned about the ancient art of Japanese fish printing and created their own Gyotaku prints. Ask them how they did it! #HuskyNProud #Gyotaku #Art

We would like to thank the University of Iowa’s Stanley Museum of Art and Brady Plunger for presenting Graphic Novels and Comic Art to our High School students today. It was a great opportunity to get up and close to original artwork from their collection. #HuskyNProud

Polar vortex challenge! Create a frozen landscape. Be sure to include foreground, middle ground, and background. Imagine yourself inside your artwork. What would you see? Bring your frozen landscape to school when school is back in session to show your art teacher. Be safe!

Challenge #2. Create a drawing of an animal or object, but redesign it. Think about shape, color, and size. Bring your artwork to school sometime next week or if you are a former student and lifelong learner feel free to email your creations. Be creative and have fun!

The Polar Vortex Challenge continues. Draw a scene from a movie, play, or cartoon. Add yourself as a character. What would you do and how would that change the story? Explain your drawing to a parent/guardian, sibling, or friend.
