The #drought24 map released this morning shows something Iowans haven't seen in 219 weeks ... a map free of Abnormal Dryness (D0)! The first half of 2024 has been the 6th wettest for #Iowa with particularly wet conditions from mid spring through early summer. #IowaAg #IowaClimate

Several chances for precipitation over much of the #cornbelt this week. Not everyone will likely receive precip, but luckier ones will. Recently worsening #drought area in parts of #ohwx should get some help.

The latest #drought24 map released this AM shows Abnormal Dryness (D0) expanding in western/northern #IA. D0 is not drought, but a reflection of short-term precip. deficits. Aug. has been particularly dry in these areas. There is widespread rain potential over the next 24 hours.
