AU News: AU has received the Jairos Jiri Humanitarian Award from the Government of Zimbabwe (GoZ) for exceptional contributions towards the fight against COVID-19 through the use of innovation to locally produce PPE's .

AU manufactured the U- safe Hand Sanitizer through its College of Health , Agriculture and Natural Sciences at beginning of the Pandemic . The sanitizer is the only locally made sanitizer to be SAZ certified and is now available for retail nationwide .
