Attending the 24th General Assembly of UNWTO in Madrid is extraordinary to me as the Permanent Representative of Nigeria . Being the maiden one, I was enthused and in attendance with HM of Tourism, Alh. Lai Mohammed and Secretary General, UNWTO,Zurab Pololikashvili and DG, NTDC

I was excited to watch Real Madrid and Inter Milan CL game at Bernabeu Stadium with Governors Seyi Makinde of Oyo.. Otom of Benue.. Wike of Rivers.. Fintiri of Adamawa and Ikpeazu of Abia with the President of Real Madrid CF hosting. Good outing indeed!

I received in my office today the Ambassador of Algeria to Spain,H.E. Said Moussi.. We are both interested and passionate towards enhancement of Africa’s diplomatic engagement in EU especially Spain.. He demonstrated vast knowledge about Africa..Good meeting indeed!

The news of the demise of Chief Ernest Shonekan was a shock to me..He was a stabilizing force in our nation’s state of bewilderment during our democratic struggle.A very decent and unassuming man with integrity.. He shall be missed by all.May his soul rest in perfect peace-Amen!

I welcome President Buhari to the Kingdom of Spain on a State visit.. I worked tirelessly for this moment.. It’s one of the best days of my life.. I was full of euphoria on his arrival. Live long Nigeria and Spain!

The meeting with King Felipe VI and our President was very productive and gainful to future between the two countries..Also in attendance was the Foreign Affairs Ministers and Ambassadors of both countries. I was very ecstatic of the outcome but follow up is key.

I’m saddened to hear the untimely death through assassination of a very towering Prime Minister of Japan, Shinzo Abe.. He was a revered leader that meant well for Japan and the world at large.. May God grant him eternal peace-Amen!

It was horrific for me to hear the sad news of my friend and aged long political ally's demise-Kemi Nelson. My thoughts and prayers with her family.She fought the battle deep because she was never a quitter. Sleep well Yeyé .. May her soul rest in perfect peace-Amen! Adieu Kemi!
