So that's 1.1 billion worth of stock buybacks for those keeping track at home. So how much did those ~200 employees cost per year? 60 million. DigitalOcean could have funded the affected people for 20 years but instead chose to buy back stock to make the investors richer
This hurts my heart. I've been a DigitalOcean fan since college. It was a dream to work there, and I got to live that dream. To see them fall so far and give a giant middle finger to the people who made them successful makes me jaded af. I actually believed in them. Not anymore
