Christmas Eve in Miller’s Point by Tyler Taormina in the Director’s Fortnight is Meet Me in St Louis via Touchstone Pictures and just an extraordinarily well-observed and delicate family portrait. The joy is very joyful so the melancholy, when it comes, hits even harder. Superb.
