One of the first concerts I ever attended as a kid was Leslie West and Mountain at the Oakland Coliseum. He had that vibrato, tone, feel, and emotion that only a few true master guitarists have. He was an influence on my playing from day one. RIP Leslie.

Sad that one of my fave guitarists Dickey Betts passed. Glued to my Allman Bros albums back when & still listen today. His playing was very influential on my style. I learned how to do “violin” swells watching Dickey from the audience. A true master of expression-filled soloing.

Those were the days, when you could catch Y&T & The Runaways playing your high school. 😎 Fun fact: The Runaways (Joan Jett, Lita Ford, Cherie Curie, Jackie Fox, Sandy West), supported us on our very first '76 US tour. Cool to see most of these women have success in their lives.
