Last year, John Rustad calls the Haida Nation Recognition Act a “historic step”. This Act has implications over private property on Haida Gwaii. Now he’s feigning concern about the very thing he supported! So which is it John? A historic step or an assault on property rights?

The more I read this judgement, the more stunning it is.  Here, the judge says fee simple interests will go unaffected… but only until the Aboriginal title holder successfully takes action. She then says figuring out this total mess in practice is, basically, not her problem.

A court took >$500,000,000 in land away from the feds on Thursday and essentially said "private landowners are next." The ruling means that if you own land on an aboriginal claim, it could soon be taken away. ... and Carney and Poilievre haven't said anything about it.
