Fabulous road trip to Thousand Islands Playhouse with Janet Porter to see Stephen Massicotte’s Mary’s Wedding directed by Brett Christopher, starring Maev Beaty & Wade Bogert-O'Brien, which I first saw 2005 at Theatre & Company in KW starring Janet & Brett! Plays in Gananoque till Sep 8 only.
Bit of a further theatre jaunt this weekend to East Haddam, Connecticut, home of Goodspeed Musicals, for the US Premiere of MAGGIE the Musical, written by Johnny Reid, Matt Murray & Bob Foster, directed by Mary Francis Moore.

Gorgeous day for a road-trip to Niagara-on-the-Lake and a Shaw Festival triple-bill starting with 11:30am The Orphan of Chao, then 2:00pm The House That Will Not Stand, ending with 8:00pm Kabarett. Happy Friday!
Heart full after a three-show day at Shaw Festival seeing Eponine Lee in The Orphan of Chao, being serenaded by Travis Seetoo before a terrific The House That Will Not Stand, then seeing Eponine making her understudy debut in Sherlock Holmes and the Mystery of the Human Heart.

Ugh. Don't know all of the "behind the scenes" details and haven't read the court filings, but sad to hear that Factory Theatre has sued Blyth Festival over the previously cancelled production of The Waltz. Hope it get settled quickly and amicably. Full story by Joshua Chong:
